The Mobile for the Poor Competition

Last Saturday at the Java Developers Conference, Ayman Ibrahim phD, from Orange Labs announced the launch of the Mobile for The Poor competition. N2V Startappz  and Orange Labs, together with Information Technology Institute (ITI), Technology Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center (TIEC) and Nokia aim to explore the problems that plague the urban poor population, and its related ecosystem, and attempt to identify how mobile applications could play a role in fighting poverty and improving the lives of this deprived segment of the society.
